A leading North East spa has boosted its number of therapists to cope with increased demand from clients and hotel guests.
The Spa at Ramside, based at Ramside Hall Hotel, Golf and Spa in County Durham, has increased its beauty team to 22 and is now looking to hire five more weekend members of staff to guarantee an even better experience.
The award-winning spa offers dozens of beauty and therapeutic treatments, including facials, massages, scrubs and body rituals, and its spa days and breaks are a popular choice with guests, visitors and members.
Now it has increased its workforce to offer even more choice to clients, particularly during the weekends.
“Since we opened in 2015, we have become busier and busier so we’ve needed to add to our staff to meet this demand,” explained spa director, Joanne Green. “A spa treatment is a relaxing experience and the time spent with clients is not something that can be compromised.
“Weekends are very, very busy and we felt we could expand our staff a little bit to give us more availability to accommodate the demand for treatments and rituals on these busier days.”
As well as beauty and therapeutic treatments, the luxurious spa boasts a sophisticated thermal suite, five pools including one of the UK’s largest hydrotherapy pools and an outdoor infinity pool.
It is home to a state-of-the-art gym offering more than 50 classes a week, and recently installed the Speedflex system for members looking for higher intensity training.
