Father Christmas took time out today (Friday 14 June) to kick off Life Science Centre’s Santa Experience.
To mark the festive launch, Santa headed to Newcastle’s Times Square Fan Zone, as the countdown started to Euro 2024, with tonight’s match, Scotland versus Germany, kicking off the championships.
Santa’s well-earned summer break coincides with the launch of Life’s magical Santa Experience, which starts in the science centre on 23 November and runs for various dates throughout the festive period.
Last year’s Santa Experience was a complete sell-out success receiving rave reviews including “one of the best Santa experiences that we have ever done” and “brilliant – exceptionally good value.”
Tickets, which are now on sale, are expected to sell fast this year too.
At the heart of the Santa Experience is the immersive animated show, What Santa Sees, produced for the Planetarium by Life’s in-house team.
Visitors can look up in the magical domed theatre and be transported to a twinkling wonderland, following Santa and his reindeer across the night sky, using stars to navigate their way.
There’s also a drink and sweet treat on offer and a visit to see Father Christmas and his favourite elf Twinkle in his house, to enjoy some seasonal science demos and receive a Christmas gift.
The Santa Experience ticket also allows access to the full science centre.
