Roomzzz Aparthotels is delighted to announce the success of its second annual Roomzzz Charity Week, which took place from 15-21 July. This year, we are proud to have raised an impressive £45,000 in support of three remarkable charities focused on combating and supporting homelessness: Simon on the Streets, St George’s Crypt, and Crisis.
Building on the success of last year’s event, which raised £38,240 for Dementia UK, Alzheimer’s Society, and Leeds Hospitals Charity through the Parklane Foundation, we have once again rallied the support of our guests, staff, and community to make a significant impact.
The centrepiece of this year’s fundraising efforts was a generous initiative by Roomzzz Aparthotels to donate an entire night’s revenue across all our locations to the overall total. This extraordinary gesture played a pivotal role in reaching our fundraising goal and demonstrates our deep commitment to making a difference in the communities we serve.
In addition to this, we continued our highly anticipated Golden Ticket raffle, now in its second year. The lucky winner of this coveted prize will enjoy an overnight stay at each of our eleven city-centre locations across the UK. The raffle generated tremendous excitement among our guests and further contributed to our fundraising success.
We also introduced an interactive “Spin the Wheel” game at the reception of each of our hotels. Guests were thrilled to participate, spinning the wheel for a chance to win various prizes, ranging from Mystery Prize packages to Room Upgrades. The enthusiasm and generosity of our guests during this week were truly inspiring.
The £45,000 raised during this year’s Charity Week will be donated to the Parklane Foundation, which will then disperse the funds to the three chosen charities: Simon on the Streets, St George’s Crypt, and Crisis. The Parklane Foundation has a proven track record of efficiently managing and distributing charitable donations, ensuring that the funds reach those who need them most.
Speaking on the success of the event, Victoria Curley, Head of Commercial at Roomzzz Aparthotels, said:
“We are absolutely thrilled with the outcome of this year’s Charity Week. The funds raised, entrusted to the Parklane Foundation, will make a significant difference in the lives of those affected by homelessness. We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed, especially our guests, whose stays directly supported this cause. Our commitment to giving back to the communities in which we operate is stronger than ever, and we look forward to continuing this tradition in the years to come.”
The Parklane Foundation, in collaboration with Roomzzz Aparthotels, will ensure that the funds are allocated effectively to support the vital work of Simon on the Streets, St George’s Crypt, and Crisis in providing shelter, care, and support to those in need.
