NewcastleGateshead Initiative partners can be among the first to secure their tickets to the 2019 European Club Rugby finals next week when tickets for the showpiece weekend go on sale to priority groups from 10:00 BST (11:00 CET) on Wednesday 9 May.
Taking place over the weekend of 10-11 May 2019, Newcastle will be the host city for European Rugby’s biggest weekend, with three matches at two stadiums across the two days.
St James’ Park, the 52,000-capacity home of Newcastle United, will be the focus of the weekend when the ground, which has hosted both Rugby World Cup and Aviva Premiership Rugby matches, stages the European Challenge Cup final on the evening of Friday 10 May, followed by the Champions Cup climax on Saturday 11 May.
In between those two fixtures Newcastle Falcons’ Kingston Park Stadium will play host to the European Rugby Continental Shield on Saturday lunchtime, which will be contested by the two teams chasing qualification for the following season’s European Challenge Cup.
NewcastleGateshead Initiative partners will join Newcastle Falcons 2018/19 season ticket members, ticket holders at Newcastle United and European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR) members in being the first to be able to access tickets for the 2018/19 finals.
Ticket prices will be confirmed later this week and members of the priority groups will be able to get to the front of the queue by way of an exclusive Golden Ticket.
Offering priority access to all price categories Golden Tickets will give fans the opportunity to see both St James’ Park finals from the same seat. As well as access to the best seats the Golden Ticket gives an overall discount of £10 off the total cost of the two tickets.
An exclusive benefit to early purchasers, Golden tickets will only be available to members of the priority groups from Wednesday 9 May through to 10.00am on Tuesday 15 May. Individual tickets to either final are not available during this period.
Ahead of ticket sales opening, NGI partners will receive an email with full details on how to book together with a unique code on or before Tuesday 8 May.
Priority purchasers are encouraged to buy online, using the unique code which will be sent to them in their priority access email, but may also book via the St James’ Park box office on 0844 372 1892 (calls cost 7p per minute plus your network access charge).
Following the closure of the exclusive period, tickets will go on general sale on Tuesday 15 May at 10.00am. On this date individual tickets for either final are available, as are tickets with disability access and corporate hospitality packages.
