A glittering experience is set to arrive in the North East this autumn as Raby Castle, Park and Gardens launches an extravaganza of light, music and storytelling.
The Glittering North will be a celebration of the region’s Norse and Viking heritage, weaving together tales of folklore and myth, with live music, dance and captivating puppetry which comes alive after dark.
The event promises to be a carnival of raucous and fun-filled adventure served with copious amounts of hot chocolate and marshmallows, bringing a smile to the faces of young and old alike.
The energetic performances brought to life by the rural Cheshire-based company Wild Rumpus will be woven through the grounds of Raby Castle in a light-filled trail of stories and performance that has something for every age group to enjoy – from foot-stomping folk music set within enchanting spaces, to captivating tales of adventure, myths and legends.
Visitors can explore this unique experience at their own pace, getting up close to the characters of The Glittering North as they weave through the immersive gardens and towering heritage buildings.
