The award winning international design practice, headquartered in Newcastle, has continued to develop successfully despite the ongoing challenges of political and economic uncertainty and high inflation.
Turnover grew by 28% to £30,905,895 generating pre tax profits for the financial year to 30 April 2022 of £4,940,576.
In the summer Ryder acquired London based Doone Silver Kerr adding to the breadth of specialist expertise in the hospitality, office and residential sectors. Overall Ryder has grown from 317 a year ago to 342 people currently.
Projects are spread throughout the UK and as far afield as Melbourne and Vancouver and the award winning BUPA Asia headquarters in Hong Kong. Significant projects across the UK include several for the University of Liverpool, Fulton Road residential development of c850 apartments in London, The Factory in Manchester, Paisley Grammar School Community Campus in Scotland and the mixed use redevelopment of the former Tetley Brewery site in Leeds – Aire Park.
Closer to ‘home’, new facilities for Fujifilm on Teesside, the Maker and Faber office development in Sunderland, Durham University Business School, HMRC relocation to Newcastle city centre, and several schools for Northumberland Council all continue apace.
