Commercial Property Consultancy Caters for Growth

A North East firm of commercial property consultants has created a raft of new jobs as part of expansion plans to accommodate growth and demand for its services.

In a move that strengthens Naylors Gavin Black’s facilities management and building consultancy capabilities, Neil Jackson, Murray McCheyne and Ben Hawtin have been appointed as experienced facilities managers.

The firm has appointed Carl Phillipson as senior building surveyor as well as Mark Greener who joins as a graduate building surveyor while Linzi Armstrong comes in as an administrator.

The new starters bring the current workforce at the Hadrian House-based firm to 29 and come as the consultancy continues to see resilient demand amid a buoyant regional commercial property sector.

In a further move, Naylors Gavin Black has also renewed the lease on its existing offices whilst also taking on additional space at Hadrian House as part of its expansion plans, providing room to accommodate current high levels of activity and boosting future capacity.

The investment in skilled people and extra accommodation follows several significant project wins that include work on the multimillion pound refurbishment of Grade II-listed Churchill House for the building consultancy team.

The firm’s agency department has also acquired the former Wavin site on the Meadowfield Industrial Estate in Durham for Northumberland Estates and is currently acting as the sole agents for the new AirView Park business park development close to Newcastle International airport.

Naylors Gavin Black’s managing partner Angus White said the firm is investing in growth, jobs and client services over the next 12 months based around a highly experienced and capable team.
