Staff at Newcastle Quayside restaurant, Dobson & Parnell, are celebrating being included in the Michelin Guide for another year in 2020.
The guide’s recommendations are based on a team of national inspectors who scour the country looking for great restaurants who offer fresh, seasonal ingredients, innovative cooking styles and fantastic service.
The entry reads:
“This elegant restaurant is an iconic address in the city and is named after Victorian architects John Dobson and William Parnell. Cooking has a classic style, with the occasional international influence, and dishes are colourful and satisfying”.
The news comes a week after the restaurant was awarded its first inclusion in The Good Food Guide and being voted in the Top 13 restaurant list by Restaurant Listings.
The restaurant, which was opened in 2016, serves casual fine dining by top chef Troy Terrington, former head chef at its sister restaurant Blackfriars and Jesmond Dene House. As well is its excellent value set lunch menu Dobson and Parnell also offers a la carte and innovative 5 and 7-course tasting menus with matching wines.
