Founded on 22 February 2013 the Big River Bakery linked up with Locality to make a film to celebrate the milestone and how far they have come.
There are lots of community events to celebrate this achievement with the community in Shieldfield all week.
One special event is the launch of a 9 minute film about the bakery which will be showing at 9.30 and 10.30 am in bakery on Wednesday 22 February.
The film has been produced by Locality who are an organisation who support social enterprises like Big River nationwide.

Quotes from video include “Affordable, healthy local food should be for everyone, not just the affluent. The bakery is a symbol of that” (Andy Haddon).
““Visiting Big River Bakery and seeing the difference they make in their local community was truly inspiring. We hope that our film captures the passion for social change that sits beneath their work – the passion that keeps them baking for a better world!” Lewis Garland, Locality.
