One of the North East’s most popular venues is offering a special price on daytime hire in the New Year.
Throughout January and February 2018, the Great Hall at Newcastle’s Discovery Museum will be able to hire from 9am to 5pm each day for just £300 plus VAT.
The Great Hall is one of the city’s finest spaces, and is regularly used for a host of different celebrations, including weddings, dinners, conferences and similar corporate gatherings.
Tucked up in the rafters of the historic city centre museum, the Great Hall is renowned for its art deco-style ceiling, and is a popular spot for large events thanks to its capacity to hold up to 350 guests.
Now, firms and businesses looking for a venue for daytime hire can take advantage of this special early deal.
“We have decided to offer this fantastic deal throughout January and February 2018 to help ease everyone back into work after the festive season,” said Leann Hay from Discovery Museum.
“The Great Hall is a very special space which lends itself well to so many different events. It can be utilised for conferences, exhibitions or dinners and we want to ensure people know that these don’t have to just be evening occasions.
“This fantastic space is available during the day as well, and we’d love to encourage more organisations to consider us. By reducing our prices in January and February we hope we can attract some new clients in who will be impressed with what we have to offer.”
Discovery Museum is one of the city’s leading visitor attractions, and tells the story of Tyneside via hands-on displays. It is home to inventions which changed the world, including Turbinia, once the fastest ship in the world and Joseph Swan’s early lightbulb.
Along with the Great Hall, the museum’s galleries and its Turbinia Hall can also be hired for evening entertaining and hospitality for up to 1000 guests, and it also has a number of smaller rooms for hire.
