Award-winning boutique hotel group Dakota Hotels have announced their expansion into Newcastle – bringing their renowned style, service, and hospitality to the bustling Quayside.
Dakota Newcastle will offer waterfront luxury alongside some of the largest hotel bedrooms and suites in the city. Situated on St. Ann’s Wharf, overlooking the riverside promenade, the stylish hotel will house 118 elegant bedrooms, including a range of suites.
A Dakota signature, Newcastle’s top suite – The Grand Deluxe – will be the largest and most luxurious in the city. The 2-bedroom Grand Deluxe Suite exudes elegance: offering butler service, fireplace, steam shower and roll-top bath, lounge and dressing areas, and views across the Tyne.
Dakota Hotels are known for their great food and beverage offering, and Dakota Newcastle will be no exception. The heart and soul of this luxury hotel is the Grill: sleek décor, sincere service, and classic dishes, beautifully crafted with quality seasonal produce.
The modern, vibrant backdrop of the Bar provides the ideal setting for coffee catchups, client meetings or date night drinks: with a warm and inviting atmosphere, mood lighting, plush seating, and a carefully curated menu for the most discerning of cocktail connoisseurs, Dakota Bar will be the place to be in Newcastle.
The Newcastle hotel will also feature a stylish Champagne Room – a beautifully designed space, perfect for intimate drinks; a waterfront Terrace; dedicated events space; and an impressive Cigar Terrace and humidor, offering an extensive selection of the finest cigars in an atmospheric al-fresco setting.
Andrew Ovenstone, Managing Director of Dakota Hotels, commented: “Newcastle promises to be an exciting addition to our portfolio, and we look forward to bringing our unique brand of hospitality to this great city.”
He added: “These are exciting times for Dakota, and we have ambitious plans to bring luxury lifestyle experiences to destinations that matter most.”
Dakota Newcastle is the brand’s latest addition, anticipated to generate upwards of 120 jobs for the community and support Newcastle’s regeneration project. Newcastle will be the sixth hotel in the Dakota group, and the third in England.
The Dakota Hotels group take their name from the Dakota aircraft; this airliner revolutionised the face of air travel by offering impeccable style and service to all – an ethos echoed by the Dakota brand today.
