The Biscuit Factory – the UK’s largest independent commercial art, craft and design gallery – is toasting the festive season with new Christmas-themed experiences.
Combining a hands-on workshop with lunch and fizz, The Biscuit Factory’s creative away days are designed to inspire and motivate employees, while giving staff the perfect yuletide keepsake to take home afterwards.
A variety of festive activities are available to groups of between 8 and 20 participants, including:
· Festive Brush Lettering – create your own Merry Christmas wrapping paper, matching gift tag and card to take away.
· Bauble Painting – experiment with colour and pattern to produce a bespoke bauble to take pride of place on your Christmas tree.
· Secret Santa Mug Painting – pick a colleague’s name out of the hat and create a personalised mug just for them.
This is followed by a freshly prepared in-house lunch from The Factory Kitchen cafe’s daily changing menus, which includes a range of fresh seasonal salads, speciality brunch dishes, homemade sandwiches and vegan options.
Groups can also explore the gallery’s winter exhibition during their visit, featuring contemporary artwork, homewares, furniture and jewellery from more than 250 artists and makers.
Kathryn Tye, Business Development Manager, said: “We’ve introduced these Christmas-themed away days to offer something fun, creative and alternative to small businesses and teams this festive season. It’s the perfect antidote to the traditional Christmas party.
“Groups who book their away day on a Wednesday in December can also take advantage of the gallery’s special Christmas Lates event after hours, combining a line-up of street food, pop ups, live music and late night shopping until 9pm.”
Businesses that book their festive away day by the end of October will also enjoy a complimentary bottle of fizz (T&Cs apply).
