North East’s largest venue welcomes Manufacturing & Engineering North East

Manufacturing & Engineering North East is to be held at Metro Radio Arena on the 6 and 7 July.

Launched in 2015, the show was attended by over 1,300 delegates and looks to build on this for 2016. Manufacturing & Engineering North East not only champions the UK engineering and manufacturing sector, but also provides a platform from which to build on the region’s successful industrial heritage.

Ed Tranter, Managing Director of MA Exhibitions, said: “We are delighted to be back at Metro Radio Arena for the second year of Manufacturing & Engineering North East. Last year’s show was a fantastic showcase of the incredible manufacturing and engineering diversity and opportunity within the region. This year will see keynotes from the Northern Powerhouse Minister and regional industry leaders Nissan and Hitachi. The future is bright for the North East and we look forward to working with the venue and the region for many years to come.”

Manufacturing & Engineering North East received four accolades for its inaugural show, including a PPA Connect Award for launch of the year and the prestigious Exhibition News Award in the Rising Star category.

Ahead of the exhibition SMG Europe, owners of Metro Radio Arena, are joining NewcastleGateshead Convention Bureau at The Meetings Show 2016 as the venue – which is the largest venue in the North East of England – has taken the move to grow their involvement in the conference, meetings and exhibition market.

Nichola McKenna, Marketing and Commercial Manager for the Metro Radio Arena said: “Our attendance alongside NewcastleGateshead Convention Bureau at The Meeting Show reinforces the commitment we have to developing our conference and exhibition offering to the North East. We have already hosted a number of high profile events such as BT AGM, UNICEF Conference and of course the award winning Manufacturing & Engineering North East. We work very closely with NewcastleGateshead Convention Bureau and look forward to attracting more conference and exhibition events to the North East.”
