On 28 June, organisations from across the North East’s hospitality and business events sector will head to one of the largest events in the industry to showcase the region.
The Meetings Show is the UK’s leading events, meetings and incentives community and will be held across two days at major events venue, Excel London.
The North East delegation will be led by NewcastleGateshead Convention Bureau, part of NewcastleGateshead Initiative, who lead on attracting events and conferences to the area.
Jen Rea, Head of Business Events and Travel Trade, NewcastleGateshead Convention Bureau said: “Our key priority is to work alongside our partners to position the North East as a go-to destination for national and international business events, and The Meetings Show is an excellent platform for this as it attracts thousands of global event professionals.
“We’re heading to the event with a strong delegation made up of some of the best venues and suppliers our region has to offer, including the iconic Sage Gateshead, Newcastle United Football Club and Sage International Conference Centre, which is set to be a catalyst development in our event offering.

The delegation will be made up of representatives from Crowne Plaza Newcastle – Stephenson Quarter, Hilton Newcastle Gateshead, Newcastle United Football Club, Northumbria University, R&B Group, Sage Gateshead and Sage ICC.
