Newcastle’s hospitality landscape is set to enjoy a transformation, as Staybridge Suites Newcastle, one of the city’s first serviced apartments, proudly shares a first look at the £1.8m refurbishment project currently underway.
Situated in the city’s Quayside area, Staybridge Suites Newcastle has been providing guests with a comfortable and welcoming stay in the city since first opening in 2009. The refurbishment project, scheduled for completion at the end of May 2024, sees the renovation of 108 suites, following an upgrade of the public areas and 20 suites in 2019.
With build partners Abrahams & Carlisle and project management / design services from ADS Design & Brand Development Ltd, this significant upgrade reaffirms the apartments’ commitment to outstanding guest experience, offering guests a completely modernised and enhanced stay. As part of the hotel’s pledge to sustainability and landfill reduction, Staybridge Suites Newcastle has also incorporated eco-friendly features throughout the ongoing project, with a significant proportion of the original furniture re-purposed locally.
Lisa Crocker, General Manager, said: “We are thrilled to share the progress of our refurbishment at Staybridge Suites Newcastle.
“Our hotel has retained a top two position on TripAdvisor ever since opening, and the new-look apartments which are incredibly bright and welcoming will help us keep happy guests returning.
“The team and I are incredibly proud of the new-look apartments, and we can’t wait to welcome new and familiar faces to Staybridge Suites Newcastle.”
This refurbishment project further enhances the Suites spacious offering to leisure, families & corporate guests alike, with flexible meeting spaces and co-working areas and dining options to suit everyone. Whether visiting Newcastle for business or leisure, Staybridge Suites Newcastle invites guests to discover the comfort in the heart of the city.
