SIX Rooftop is kicking off 2025 with its new A Taste of SIX Plant-Based seasonal tasting menu packed with vibrant, plant-powered dishes designed to showcase the versatility of entirely plant-based menus, also happily coinciding with Veganuary.
SIX Rooftop first introduced the idea of an entirely plant-based menu to its diners through a series of masterclasses and tasting evenings in 2019. Using these events to introduce diners to a host of new menu options and also a way of showcasing just how diverse and interesting a seasonal plant-based menu could be, whilst considering nutritional health, sustainability, and ethical considerations.
The response to SIX’s plant-based tasting evenings was overwhelming, with 40 guests enjoying the evenings initially, which grew rapidly to well over 100 guests attending each event. As interest continued to grow, the team took the bold decision to offer a permanent plant-based menu, which was launched at SIX Rooftop after its refurbishment in 2024. Since then, A Taste of SIX Plant-Based menus have proven to be a resounding success, with plant-based dining now accounting for over 20% of all diners visiting the rooftop restaurant to enjoy its multi-award-winning menus.
2025 will see the team of chefs at SIX Rooftop continue to explore new plant-based techniques as they set out to further enhance the restaurant’s seasonal plant-based dining offering using the very best locally sourced produce available, as they showcase their commitment to sustainability and innovation in plant-forward dining.
With a focus on bold flavours, wholesome ingredients, and new customisation, SIX’s latest seasonal plant-based tasting menu offers something for everyone from seasoned plant lovers to those simply looking to try something new. But the innovation doesn’t just extend to the plate as SIX’s team of expert mixologists work their magic too, creating a range of matching no and low-alcohol mocktail options alongside more familiar favourites made using vegan spirit alternatives.
A Taste of SIX Plant-Based tasting menu starts with A Selection of Snacks, before embarking on a seasonal culinary journey featuring starters including Cheese, Apple & Mead Veil, Mushroom, Shortbread & Tarragon, Feta Style, Cherry & Kampot Pepper, followed by Milk Bread, served with Kelp Butter & Laver. Mains follow, with Romanesco, Fermented Pepper & Almond, Oak Bark Beetroot with Raw Nut Cream and Pine Vinegar, Potato Linguine, with Parsley & Winter Truffle, followed by Mushroom, with Dashi, Leeks & Pumpkin Seed Miso, but remember to save room for dessert, these sweet treats include Sticky Toffee Cake with Ginger & Mouneyrac Pear, followed by Burella with Pickled Onion & Malt, a deliciously moreish option not to be missed, before rounding off your plant-based feast with a Selection of Handmade Petit Fours.

A Taste of SIX Plant-Based 6-Course Menu is priced at £65 and is served from 5.30pm to 9.00pm, Tuesday to Saturday, and A Taste of SIX Plant-Based 9-Course menu is priced at £95.
