Upside Down House and Spinning House are coming to Metrocentre

Two mind-bending attractions are set to dazzle visitors at Metrocentre, one of the UK’s leading retail and entertainment destinations. Upside Down House UK, in partnership with Metrocentre, proudly announces the launch of a brand-new Upside Down House and the region’s first-ever Spinning House, bringing an unparalleled and interactive experience to the North East from Saturday 12th April.

Construction is already underway, with the creative team behind Upside Down House UK designing a distinctive and innovative experience. The exterior of the Upside Down House will feature Metrocentre’s signature teal and white colours, seamlessly blending with the shopping and entertainment hub’s vibrant aesthetic. Inside, the house will showcase a modern and stylish open-plan layout, maximising the immersive and illusory experience that has made Upside Down House attractions a viral sensation across the UK.

A standout feature of Metrocentre’s Upside Down House is its exclusive, never-before-seen themed rooms, available only at this location. Visitors can look forward to an electrifying music zone, a tribute to legendary filmmaker Sir Ridley Scott, and a selection of carefully curated rooms celebrating the rich culture of the North East.

Adding to the excitement, Metrocentre will also host the UK’s second ever Spinning House, the first of its kind in the North East. Designed to challenge visitors’ perceptions of gravity and space, the Spinning House will leave guests amazed as they experience an extraordinary sensation of movement that defies their expectations.

Alex Barbary, Associate Director at Upside Down House UK said: “We are incredibly excited to bring the very first Upside Down House in the North East, to Metrocentre. As a prime retail and leisure destination, Metrocentre is the ideal location for us to expand our business and introduce our unique experience to the people of Tyne and Wear and beyond.”

Gavin Prior, Centre Director at Metrocentre, added: “We are thrilled to welcome Upside Down House and the Spinning House to Metrocentre. These exciting new attractions are sure to be a fantastic addition to our entertainment offering, providing our visitors with a unique and interactive experience that complements our vibrant retail and leisure environment. We can’t wait for everyone to come and enjoy the fun!”

Visitors will soon be able to experience the joy of the Upside Down House at Metrocentre, situated at the Yellow Mall Entrance located on the North West side of Metrocentre.
